The Garden of Just Because Installation and Clay Mushroom Workshops

The Garden of Just Because is an interactive installation inspired by the micro view of a garden and the invisible world underneath the soil. It is a place where fairy rings and science meet. Young visitors will experience a space where sculptural forms towers above them. They will be able to activate the LED to light up the mycelium network that runs all the way up into the chanterelle mushrooms.

Join artist and Near Now studio member Roma Patel for a workshop exploring the installation and creating your very own clay fungi sculptures to take away.

Workshops will last for 50 minutes and will run at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. The workshop is recommended for children over 5, but little ones are welcome to join along too. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Garden of Just Because installation was created by Makers of Imaginary Worlds (Roma Patel) as part of the 2020/21 Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity Artist in Residence project. Supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
