Russell Davies is a writer and communications strategist. He has worked at advertising agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy and R/GA and for organisations including Nike, Apple, Microsoft and Honda. His most well-known work is probably the strategy development that led to Honda's 'Power Of Dreams' campaign.
In his spare time he's spent nine years blogging, made a BBC programmeabout the 'Internet of Things' and written a book about great British cafes. He talks regularly at tech/culture conferences and relentlessly mucks about on the internet.
He's going to be talking about his work as a Creative Director for theGovernment Digital Service - builders of the new single domain for government - GOV.UK. The site recently won the Design Museum's Design Of The Year award and Russell will be talking about the ideas and approach that led to a government website being named as the best design of the year.
