'Don't mistake your ego for your intuition', an exhibition by Candice Jacobs.

As part of OTOKA's takeover of Broadway Gallery, Nottingham artist Candice Jacobs presents an exhibition of new screen prints and neon works.

OTOKA is a nomadic exhibition, residency and studio space led by Candice Jacobs, taking over Broadway Gallery (17 Heathcoat Street, NG1 3AF) throughout December 2022 – March 2023.

Candice Jacobs is an artist, curator and lecturer interested in the consequences of habitual technology on our sense of self. She often uses esoteric symbolism to quantify and question the truth associated within the realities of our digital world.

Recent exhibitions by OTOKA include Privacy Techtonics which included works by 2018 Turner Prize nominated artists Forensic Architecture, Tara Kelton, Ben Grosser, Yuri Pattison, Joey Holder, Libby Heaney and James Bridle.

Access

Broadway's Gallery is located on the lower ground floor of Broadway Cinema, nestled within Broadway’s design and innovation studio spaces behind Screens 3 and 4.

The space can be accessed via Broadway's main entrance but also has direct access from Heathcoat Street.

Broadway’s design and innovation spaces are fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps and lift access from Broadway’s Box Office.
