Join us for a work-in-progress screening of ‘Oneiric Kitchen', presented in collaboration with Primary.
‘Oneiric Kitchen' is a collaborative project by Japanese artist-filmmaker Chiemi Shimada and London-based wellbeing practitioner Susie Cunningham. The work explores our relationship with sleep and addresses issues surrounding it. Developed through therapeutic cooking workshops in the UK and Japan and facilitated by partners Primary (Nottingham) and Documentary Dream Center (Tokyo) the project created a safe space for participants to reflect on their sleep experiences.
Oneiric Kitchen culminates in a video installation and single-channel film of the same name. Join us for a work-in-progress screening at Broadway, delivered in partnership with Primary. Oneiric Kitchen will also be screened online after this event via the project partners' websites.
Oneiric Kitchen is supported by the British Council's Connections Through Culture grant programme. The British Council's Connections Through Culture grants support new cultural collaborations between the UK and East Asia.
