The Ball Run Factory

Saturday 16 Feb, 9:30AM & 1:00PM

Build inventive marble machines with science, technology and everyday materials.

In this hands-on workshop you and your child will work with artists and technologists to turn cardboard tubes, plumbing pipes and wooden tracks into creative contraptions.

Build robots with LEGO® WeDo 2.0

Build robots with LEGO® WeDo 2.0

LEGO® Robotics Lab

Saturday 16 Feb, 10:00AM & 2:00PM

Explore creative coding and build robotic inventions.

In this workshop led by Bright Box Makerspace, children and their accompanying adults will work together to experiment and play with LEGO® WeDo 2.0, a creative coding kit designed to make science and computing come to life.

Tilt Brush Tutorials

Explore how virtual reality can be used to make three-dimensional artworks in these artist-led tutorials using Oculus Rift.

Level up your creative skills with one-on-one mentoring from Céline Siani Djiakoua, artist and Near Now Studio Member.

Superhero Gadgets Lab

Sunday 17 Feb, 10:00AM & 2:00PM

Get creative with technology by designing superhero-inspired gadgets and gizmos with Bright Box Makerspace.

You'll be supported to creatively explore the concepts of biohacking and wearable technology to design superhero gadgets with different objects and tools. Use your imagination to invent gadgets that could be used to save the world — or just make it a bit more fantastic!
