At Explorers Fair you'll find playful workshops, interesting talks and interactive experiences from some of the UK's most talented techies, artists and scientists.

There's lots to see and do at Explorers Fair, with fun activities taking place across Broadway.

Code-A-Drone Workshops

MakoEducation’s Code-A-Drone workshops show participants the power of coding in a fun and creative (and safe) environment.

Learn how to code a mini-drone to take off, fly, turn, do stunts and land safely. Try a range of challenges that put these new skills to the test.

Taster Sessions (60mins):

Glitch Art Workshops

Join MakoEducation and artist Antonio Roberts in this creative workshop which teaches participants about glitch art and how to create their own artwork.

Attendees will learn how to create their own glitch art images, videos and GIFs.

Stop Motion Workshop

Feeling inspired by Early Man, the latest big screen adventure from Aardman Animations?

Learn how to make your own Stone Age-inspired animation with expert advice from animator Trevor Woolery in this 3D stop motion workshop.

Explore Virtual Reality

Play, learn and be creative in virtual reality at these interactive demonstrations using Oculus Rift.

Spend an hour with your family or friends (and our expert guides) trying out a selection of playful, amazing, creative and educational experiences – in VR!

Book a one hour session for up to 5 people at the following times:

Meet 'Kids Invent Stuff'

Join Ruth Amos, inventor and co-host of Kids Invent Stuff – the YouTube channel where kids get their inventions made, for a screening of some of their brilliant videos and a talk about the magic of making children's ideas come to life – including jam firing rockets, flame-throwing pianos and pedal powered showers!
