Join us for the launch of offbeat inventors Dentaku’s latest product, Ototo. Ototo (Japanese for younger brother and pronounced oh-toe-toe) is an experimental printed circuit board (PCB), which, combining sensors, inputs and touchpads, allows you to easily create your own electronic musical instrument.
Ototo is designed to let anyone unpack a kit and make anything from drum sets out of saucepans to a coat stand that sings when you place a coat on it's pegs. This is an exclusive chance to hear and see Ototo in action. Participants from the Ototo Invention Workshop will show off their own playful musical DIY musical experiments using the Ototo platform.
The principle designers from invention studio Dentaku, Yuri Suzuki and Mark McKeague, will talk about the development and future of the Ototo platform.
