What to expect

MakoEducation’s Code-A-Drone workshops show participants the power of coding in a fun and creative (and safe) environment.

During the activity, the participants learn how to code a mini-drone to take off, fly, turn, do stunts and land safely. They are then given a range of challenges that put these new skills to the test.

During the workshop, each participant is provided with an iPad to write their code and a mini-drone to attempt the different challenges.

No previous coding or drone flying experience is necessary. However, we recommend that all participants are aged 8+.

This is a 60min introductory session. For a longer 120min session featuring a more in-depth experience and more challenges to try, see here.

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS AIMED AT CHILDREN AGED 8-13. ADULTS PERMITTED ONLY TO ACCOMPANY CHILDREN. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
